We wanted to organize an event where local businesses could come together to share their product or service, as well learn about other neighboring businesses and what they offer. A good way to describe our format is “speed dating” for businesses.
We will have 7 tables of 6 -7 people and everyone gets 90 seconds to give their elevator pitch (a brief intro on their business, why customers like doing business with you or what their ideal customer is). There will be a time keeper at each table After everyone has finished, you will rotate to a new table with new people (everyone is given a unique rotation when they check-in, so you only see each person once).
DeCordova member-owned businesses will have first right of participation until Friday, October 19th or until the seat has been filled by another DCBE Member. If one week before the event we have less than 49 participants we will allow a second seat for that business category, as it is equally important to maximize the potential audience for each attendee. The committee will have final decision on any conflicts of industry type. You should verify that your industry has not been taken before registering.
